The past couple weeks has been an awakening for many when it comes to racial injustice, and as a result, a lot of people are taking time to self-reflect, educate themselves and do what they can to help.
Google searches for “Am I Racist?” have spiked, people are buying books on race in droves and racial justice groups have received millions of dollars in donations over the last month.
And this is great. Really, really great. But racism has been alive and well in America for more than 400 years, so it would be naive to think that this current highly charged moment is going to fix centuries of inequality and discrimination.
Movements tend to wane and fail because people lose motivation and mass protestscan lack resilience.
